The journey inside Tricolore, the new e-MTB developed by Moto Parilla that will debut at EICMAin November this year, continues. Here is a new set of details describing the new features and innovations that this new pedal-assist mountain bike will bring to the market.
HEMP COVER
One of the main features of Tricolore will be the presence of a cover system made of hemp fiber, which is also totally recyclable because the fiber used will be organic like the resin with which it is impregnated. This is intended to underscore the company’s commitment to trying to follow the ecological transition, so it will be necessary to find substitutable, less polluting materials for vehicles throughout the cycling and motorcycling industry.
The top cover will have an airtight seal to prevent the entry of fluids or dirt but at the same time allow the passage of cables inside the chassis. The holes on it will allow the mounting of additional accessories, such as water bottles or additional displays, and the quick release or lock closure system will allow maximum convenience in inserting and removing the battery.
INNOVATIVE SWINGARM
Tricolore’s swingarm, which is clearly motorcycling in nature, was developed after a study that lasted nearly two years. Thanks to a bold and extremely innovative choice, it will be single bilateral arm and made entirely of carbon fiber. In addition, it will be reinforced with aluminum inserts in the areas of wheel coupling, rear brake caliper and suspension system, to ensure greater stability and strength.
The wide channel will provide the ability to fit tires up to 3.5″ and will allow excellent mud drainage under all circumstances. The transmission system will be 12-speed, and the Flip-Chip system will allow easy variation of the wheelbase.
LIGHTING SYSTEM
The futuristic rear lighting system will be integrated into the seatpost frame and powered by the powertrain battery. Control of the entire system directly from the handlebar controller will be allowed, ensuring ease of use and performance in both daytime and night trials.

Inside TRICOLORE, the new MTB from Moto Parilla (1/3)
While waiting for EICMA, the international bicycle and motorbike trade fair to be held in Milan in November, over the next few weeks we will take you on a tour of each of the details that characterise the Tricolore, the new e-mtb made by Moto Parilla.
In the new Tricolore, the rear suspension system will be made up of a rocker arm, connecting rod and shock absorber to ensure great vehicle responsiveness. The linkages, completely made of Ergal 7075 aluminium, will be machined from billet. The entire mechanism will be protected by a specially designed rear mudguard made of polycarbonate.
In addition, the seatpost frame, also of a motorbike nature, will be detached from the frame and made entirely of carbon fibre. The modular attachment system of the seatpost and shock absorber to the frame will consist of lightened aluminium mesh plates that will make Tricolore not only extremely strong but also cutting-edge in terms of design.
The Tricolore’s engine casing will be made of carbon kevlar fibre for sensational impact resistance and will feature an integrated cooling system by means of a special design. In order to make the vehicle modular, a universal engine mounting system was designed using plates made from billet 7075 aluminium. The engine will be thePolini E-P3+ MX, capable of delivering 250W of power, a 600W peak and 90 Nm of torque. Recharging the battery will be facilitated by the presence of its frame connection.

TRICOLORE: the Italian eMTB revolution designed by Moto Parilla
This is what Moto Parilla‘s new electric MTB will look like, a real revolution in the world of mountain bikes, combining design and innovation. It will be an hybrid of the motorcycle and bike, with unique technical features. First on the road at EICMA2022.
Reggio Emilia-based innovative startup, Moto Parilla, never ceases to amaze, after ‘Carbon,’ an aggressively designed e-bike that revolutionized the eBike world, and Trilix, a city eBike prized for its unmistakable style.
Today, after two years of research and development, Moto Parilla proudly presents its new TRICOLORE, the revolutionary enduro e-MTB that will be officially unveiled at EICMA 2022 in November. The world’s most important exhibition space was not a random choice, as TRICOLORE will evidence its strong motorcycle influences, including the monocoque frame, the bilateral single-arm swingarm (Single-Pivot), an interchangeable seat frame for different uses, and the geometries peculiar to the motorcycle world that go beyond the classic triangular shapes.
This is a modular vehicle that allows for varying bike geometries by taking advantage of several accordants developed by Moto Parilla that enable it to fully meet customer needs on off-road trails or urban routes. In fact, the possibility of mounting different seat-post frames, the variability of suspension fulcrums, the interchangeability of different drivetrain systems, and the possibility of equipping the vehicle with powertrains providing an excess of 750 watts, make TRICOLORE versatile and performing anywhere.
Moto Parilla has always mirrored the ‘Made in Italy‘ image. For this reason, the monocoque frame, swing-arm and all other components will be manufactured entirely in Italy, within an approximate radius of 50 km from the Emilian headquarters. Refined materials such as carbon fiber, hemp fiber and aerospace aluminum will be used to ensure optimal performance, lightness and durability. The power-train will also be Italian, thanks to the agreement with Polini, which will supply the ‘Polini EP3 250 Watt‘ model capable of ensuring complete reliability and power needed to reach a peak of 500 Watts and 90 Nm of torque. The bike is equipped with an 880 Watt-hour battery capable of providing a range of over 100km. The braking system, suspension and all other commercial components will vary according to the model chosen and the destined use.
High attention will also be given to ecological transition by using less polluting or recyclable materials. In particular, hemp fiber, which will be used for the construction of the non-structural components, will be totally recyclable thanks to special natural resins used in the production process that will make it possible for the parts to be completely recycled at the end of their life.
TRICOLOREis a highly innovative product in the world of electric vehicles, and constitutes the specific meeting point between the worlds of motorcycles and bicycles.

MOTO PARILLA HOMAGES THE ‘GIRO D’ITALIA’
The ‘Giro d’Italia’ will arrive tomorrow Wednesday 18 May in Reggio Emilia, home of ‘Moto Parilla’, starting from Parma on Thursday. To pay homage to the passage of the “Corsa Rosa”, here is a ‘Carbon’ in the colors of the Giro, made available to the Bardiani CSF Faizanè team.
Moto Parilla, a Reggio Emilia-based company specializing in the production of artisanal e-bikes of the highest level in terms of design and technique, 100% Made in Italy, has decided to pay tribute to the passage of the Giro d’Italia in the Emilian land.
The eleventh stage will arrive in Reggio Emilia, home of ‘Moto Parilla’, on 18 May, to leave the following day from nearby Parma.
The company led by Filippo Beltrami has therefore decided to pay homage to the Corsa Rosa, creating a ‘Carbon‘ with the typical colors of the tour, pink indeed, producing a unique example of e-bike, which will be made available to the Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè team from the arrival of the stage until the restart the following day.
“This year we decided to experience the emotions of the Giro d’Italia up close – said Filippo Beltrami, founder of Moto Parilla –for this reason we wanted to pay homage to this wonderful race by creating a unique bike, as unique is the Corsa Rosa to which we are all fond of, together with the friends of Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè engaged as protagonists in the Giro d’Italia “.
